How Does the Stretching Board Game for Kids Packet Work:
- Immediately download the 28 page PDF document that includes 12 full-color game boards and 10 stretching cards. Low color game boards are also included to minimize color ink.
- Print the game boards or mark up the PDF as you play.
- Children will work on flexibility, gross motor skills, balance, coordination, and muscle strengthening while taking turns!
How to Use the Stretching Board Game for Kids Packet:
You will need some of these easy to find items: Board game markers or tokens such as foam shapes, mini erasers, coins, etc., and a coin to flip or pieces of paper cut into squares with numbers written on them to create paper dice.
To play the board game:
- The child flips a coin. If it lands on heads move forward one space. If it lands on tails, move forward two spaces.
- Complete the stretching activity shown on the space that you land on.
- Use the 10 stretching pictures for the visual of each exercise.
The stretching poses that are included are: star stretches, toe touches, side stretches, seated side stretches, calf stretches, hamstring stretches, trunk lift stretches, sit and reach stretches, straddle stretches and quad stretches.
