How Does the Roll a Situation Activity Packet Work?
Using the boards, students should be encouraged to write about how the situation may have affected the character and those around them.
You can also have them write or talk about the emotions, states and/or Zones that may be represented in the situations they rolled.
Encourage discussion about what the characters and the people around them are feeling during the situation.
Writing template and worksheets included. Game boards with and without pictures are included. Cut and paste cards also included to use as a model or another tool to review self-regulation curriculum.
In Roll a Situation: Students roll a situation and can act out and identify what emotion/Zone/state a person might be in during the situation. You can also add in a writing component by having the student chose one of the situations they rolled to write about.
In Roll a Sentence: Students roll 3 times to find out which character, setting and the situation they will be writing about. You can have students roll to complete several different sentences or use components to work on a paragraph.
