Created by a certified occupational therapist, your students will beg to play this game as a warmup before other activities. Use it as a brain break activity, warm-up or transition to another activity during the day.

DETAILS ABOUT THE FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS GROSS MOTOR SKILLS PACKET
Are your students having difficulties focusing on their work and paying attention during your lessons? Are they off-task, disruptive, distracted, fidgety, or impulsive? Do you need ideas to help manage these behaviors? This Follow the Directions Gross motor activity can be printed and used in a group or done virtually by reading from the list.
These can also be used for indoor recess, an occupational or physical therapy session, as a warm-up, or a classroom reward activity.
DIRECTIONS
Print the pages double-sided then cut out and laminate the cards. Sort the cards into the 3 numbered piles. The students or teacher draw one card from each pile and read the directions. Students listen to all 3 directions and then complete the actions all at once. Use one card set for a transition to another activity or many as a motor break.
Examples:
- Skip, with your hands on your head, while humming.
- Jump forward, with your hands on your hips, while mooing like a cow.
There are 18 actions for each section for many different, 3-step direction combinations for students to follow.
