The 26 page PDF will be available electronically immediately following payment.
BENEFITS OF THE COMMUNITY HELPERS FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS PACKET
Use these engaging community helper-themed, no-prep, follow-the-directions worksheets to promote fine motor, listening comprehension, and reading skills. Great for occupational therapy activities or speech therapy sessions, early finishers, or a fun activity with a purpose in the classroom. You can also use them as a classroom brain break when you add a gross motor movement after each direction.
An excellent listening activity where students must listen to the directions to complete the picture. Students must listen to or read the directions to complete the coloring pages correctly. You can combine two directions and give them as multi-step if your students can handle the challenge.
What is Included in the Following Directions Packet?
This digital download includes:
- 6 pages that a teacher or peer reads the directions and the students complete the coloring pages
- 6 pages where students read the directions and complete the coloring pages
- 6 pages where students write their own directions and trade with a peer that completes the coloring pages
Directions are one step, but you can easily add a step to the listening directions.
Images included: The set includes a doctor’s office, dentist’s office, police station, fire station, airplane, and post office. Please see the preview to get an idea of what is included in this set.
Want to Extend or Change the Activity?
Make it a gross motor brain break by adding an exercise after each direction. “Circle the pilot then do 10 squats.” or “Draw 2 clouds in the sky then do 10 jumps.”
Consider changing my directions for more of a challenge. “Color the tree blue.” or “Draw a hat on the bird.”
