What are Handwriting Letter Boxes?
Handwriting letter boxes help students learn how to form the correct size of the letters and where the letters belong on the line. They always help with letter spacing so students learn how far apart to space their letters.

Print the letter word challenges after you download them at the bottom of the page.
Start with the Three Letter Word Challenge. See how many three letter words you can write in 2 minutes. Remind the students to practice proper letter formation in the boxes.
Progress to four letter words and then five letter words. Not only do the words get longer but the boxes get smaller!
