Pipe Cleaner Creations – Make the Alphabet

You will need pipe cleaners, straws and scissors. Cut the plastic straws into different sizes to make the letters. Lace the pipe cleaners into the straws to create the letters by bending the pipe cleaners at the edges and curves.

These pipe cleaner creations are so easy to set up for independent play for children. Turn your colander or strainer upside down and provide colorful pipe cleaners and straw pieces to the children. They can stick pipe cleaners into the colander and lace the cut up straws onto the pipe cleaners.
